The Planet Hollywood remodel and renovation presented M.J. Dean with a unique challenge. We were called upon to completely remove any semblance of the previous resort, The Aladdin, and rebrand the entire property with the Planet Hollywood theme – all while doors stayed open and business continued as usual. For this to happen, our strategy was to complete this project in phases, which allowed us to work on different aspects of the property and stay on schedule, without interfering with the casino’s daily operations. The transformation from The Aladdin into Planet Hollywood involved the redesign and remodel of the sports book, hotel lobby, three bars, cashiers cage, casino, high limit casino, valet area, and the plaza & façade. We also remodeled many of the luxury suites, the buffet, and added new restaurants, a new nightclub, a Starbucks and some back of house areas.  The Miracle Mile Shops also called for us to modernize the look of the shops and install all new flooring throughout. M.J. Dean was the general contractor and self-performed all concrete work, metal stud framing, drywall, painting, and EIFS.
